Andreas Laskaratos
Chief Executive Officer
Andreas has in-depth experience in oil & products trading, with focus on special projects and business development of new products and desks. He has been trading for a Russian conglomerate for 6 years prior to joining Glencore for 4 years and then moving on, in order to develop AB Commodities.
Sebastien Willems
Chief Trading Officer
Sebastien has more than 27 years of experience in the Oil & Products trading industry. Starting his career in Neste, he then moved onto Morgan Stanley before joining Glencore for 14 years, where he became one of the most successful traders in the market with outstanding track record, while creating and developing the LPG desk across 3 continents.
Alessandra Panella Fabrello
Chief Operating Officer
Alessandra has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector, working as COO for Abalone Solitaire, and prior to that, as an Equity Analyst in Kepler Capital Markets, Banca Imi and Caboto Sim, covering Italian listed banks and real estate.
Sylvain Fresia
Chief Risk Officer
Sylvain graduated with a master’s in Energy Trading and Finance from Cass Business School, London. He worked as a risk manager in ENI Trading & Shipping in London for 4 years, before moving to Glencore where he worked as a senior risk manager for 7 years. During his time in both companies, he worked across a wide variety of transactions, desk, products and regions. He returned to Monaco to manage a family office before starting to work with AB Commodities.
Francois Michon-Lazade
Head of Finance
François gained early experience in accounting before joining Deloitte as a financial auditor for international players. He then moved to Dietsmann, a leading company in the maintenance and operation of oil & gas facilities, where he held senior finance responsibilities across Europe and Africa, within dynamic and structurally complex environments. He later became Finance Director of a commodity trading firm specialized in oil products, strengthening financial processes and controls to support business agility and growth.
Afag Alikhanova
Group Head of Trade Finance
Afag has extensive experience in commodity trade finance, with a strong focus on structuring complex deals across energy, metals, and agricultural markets. Prior to joining AB Commodities Group, she held senior roles at Credit Suisse and ABN AMRO. At Credit Suisse, she co-led the launch of the Agri Desk and managed a team overseeing trade flows and client portfolios. At ABN AMRO, she led a large team managing structured inventory, agri, and metal transactions. Afag has worked across both credit and relationship functions, driving large-scale syndicated and bilateral deals. She holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and completed executive education at the London School of Economics.
